Embodying the Nature of Restorative Healing

Over my career as a physical therapist spanning back to 1998, I have grown to be most inspired by patients whom when faced with a physical deterrent to fully living, tap into their inherent human resolve to persevere. And thus, am most intrigued by the subtle balance posed by this enormous spirit to restore, and the equally enormous potential to heal. I believe it is within this balance that true healing resides and is where I, as a therapist, teamed up with you can support your most meaningful recovery. I’ve utilized my training, learning from the best of the best (beginning at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and from my extensive post graduate continuing education including most recently becoming certified in Neuro Kinetic Therapy – a prior missing link in restoring movement health in a painful body), to compose a harmonious and uniquely blended system of care that patients have shared to be both highly effective and very distinct.

One’s challenging experiences associated with pain are often what illuminate sources for deepest healing to occur and as a result intrigue me most and in a sense fuel me to support all that is possible. I embrace the opportunity to assist you in unraveling chronic sources of perpetuating pain and to personalize a most beneficial path that offers a level of living free of debilitating pain some have not experienced in years. I seek to ultimately empower you to a restored capacity of personally managing your wellbeing through life replenishing recommendations, a personalized home program and always my availability to support your evolving needs.

In reaching higher for you, shoulder health and its impact on the neck and greater spine also inspires me. After experiencing shoulder surgery myself early in my career, I was compelled to create the UE Ranger® offering the profession of Physical Therapy an advanced alternative to the standard rehab protocols. If you are experiencing shoulder pain, weakness or are in need of post-surgery rehab you are in the right place for the most personal and all-encompassing approach to full recovery.

In treating all conditions, while most specifically restoring the physical vessel that carries you along life’s journey, I recognize one’s living existence to encompass an ever-engaging interaction of one’s body, thoughts and emotions, along with one’s true spirit. Ultimately my goal and focus are to help each person entrusted to my care, reach their personal healthcare goals in the most efficient and effective manner.

“In HIS Hands… The Other Guy

Many know whom I’m referencing in my statement In HIS Hands, but this is my personal testimony related to the therapy I received from Dan Miller, The Other Guy. I am a male 66 years of age. Back Pain had lived with me for over 25 years, I thought I’d live with the torment forever. Some days, pain killers were needed just to get out of bed. Next the act of bending to put on socks felt like a dagger in my spine. Sitting was painful and would cause setbacks. Walking relied on crutches, canes and body braces. I vividly remember the 7th visit when I realized that Dan may provide real healing. First time I ever had hope. My results far exceeded expectations and are measurable. First I have gone from not being able to walk without pain, to walking over 5000 miles. Second, I have gone from needing over 90+ pills a month to zero. An accomplishment Dan and I are proud of. Dan’s manual therapy played a key role; providing proper alignment, reducing pain, muscle stress and tension. Thank you God, for giving hands to those who can make a difference today!”

“Due to your guidance and patience, I believe my body has at last decided to remain in its correct position. “During my initial consultation with Dan, I mentioned that I had recently been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I was supposed to be using a CPAP machine but had trouble sleeping with it. Dan treated me for this issue as well. Just last week I retested for my sleep apnea and although I still have it, it is very mild and does not require a CPAP machine.

I have been very pleased with the treatment I received from my Physical Therapist Dan Miller and I would highly recommend him.”

You have also helped me mentally through the techniques of relaxing my mind. You have worked so hard and always put forth 125 percent of effort. With much gratitude”
